TCP/IP Setting Manual


How to have correctly identified the IP address for the ULearn System Server.

The Figure 1 shows the IP configuration of the computer. To display all the current IP configuration, type in ipconfig/all on the command prompt which obtain from DHCP server.

Type in ipconfig/release to release the IP address that have assigning from the DHCP server as shown as Figure 2. It shows that this computer no longer have IPv4 configuration.

To manually assign TCP/IP address, open the control panel as shown as Figure 3. At the network and internet, click view network status and task.

 From this page as shown as Figure 4, click change adapter setting to display all the network connections.

 The next step is right click on WiFi and choose properties as shown as Figure 5.

 Figure 6 shows the WiFi properties box up. Then, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) and click on properties button.

Figure 7 shows the new IP Address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server of UTeM network. Type in 192.168.0.83, which had prior to release the IP address that obtain from DHCP server. The subnet is 255.255.255.0. The default gateway is 192.168.43.1 and DNS server of 192.168.43.1.

Type in ipconfig/all to display the new IP configurations as shown as Figure 8. At this time, the DHCP Enable is no. Meaning that it have manually set a IP address.
